Wilderness Seaplanes Transshipment Services

Pacific Coastal Airlines partners with Wilderness Seaplanes to provide cargo transshipment services to remote and coastal communities in British Columbia. Through our connection point in Port Hardy (YZT), we can facilitate cargo movement to several destinations not directly accessible by air from major centres.

This partnership expands the reach of our cargo network and makes it easier for customers to ship to and from hard-to-reach locations.

Destinations Served

Transshipment service from Port Hardy to the following zones and communities is available on scheduled days throughout the year:

Zone 1 (ZN1) – Thursdays (Year-Round):

Acteon Sound, Gilford Village, Greenway Sound, Jennis Bay, Ministrel Island, Scott Cove, Shawl Bay, Shoal Harbour, Sullivan Bay, Wakeman Sound, & Warner Bay

Kingcome (KKM) – Thursdays (Year-Round):

Zone 2 (ZN2) – Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays (Year-Round):

Important Notes

• Standby Cargo: Shipments are not guaranteed on specific flights. Cargo travels on a space-available basis after priority and guaranteed shipments.
• Security Fee: A surcharge applies for all shipments between secure airports (minimum $5.00 or $0.10 per lbs, whichever is greater).
• Storage Fee: Items not picked up within 48 hours are subject to storage fees (minimum $20.00).
• YYJ Weight Limit: The maximum shipment weight at Victoria Airport (YYJ) is 70 lbs.
• Interline Cargo Pickup Fee: Shipments connecting to or from non-interline partner airlines at YVR may incur an additional fee (minimum $20.00 or $20.00 per 100 lbs, whichever is greater).
